EducationI am a senior at Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania. I am a History, B.A. major and I have three minors in English, International Studies, and Political Science.
ExperienceI have been a tutor at the Shippensburg University Learning Center since 2010. I have experience tutoring world history, African history, American history, general psychology, art history, media writing for comm/journ. classes, and US government and politics. My expertise is in writing, European history, and international law and organization.
In addition, I was one of the head writing tutors for the 2011-2012 school year. For the 2012-2013 school year, I will again be the head writing tutor for the Writing Center.
I have planned, presented, and implemented workshops at the Mid-Atlantic Writing Center Association's 23rd annual conference. I have also hosted weekly grammar workshops at Shippensburg University. In addition, I recently completed Level III of the College Reading and Learning Association (CRLA)certification.
I am a note-taker for the Office of Disability Services and I have worked with students and adults with a variety of learning disabilities and academic needs.
I have consistently been on Dean's list since Fall 2009, maintain a 3.779 QPA, and am a member of the following honor societies and organizations:
